Finally, the address that housed the beleaguered Shoe Mania has a new tenant. The Real Deal reports today that M.A.C will be taking 1,600 square feet on the ground level and part of the mezzanine for what will be a record rent for the neighborhood.
It was previously reported that an H&M was headed for that space, but the deal apparently fell through last year. The cosmetics brand already has more than a dozen locations in the five boroughs, including a tiny Fifth Avenue store that also broke rent records when it opened.
