Jewelry designer Nina Berenato makes all of her jewelry by hand inside her Greenpoint studio, including the above Teardrop necklace in bronze with a 14k gold plate and faceted green quartz teardrop.
Of the color, she explains: "The colors of Elizabethan clothes provided information about the status of the man or woman wearing them. This was not just dictated by the wealth of the person, it also reflected their social standing and the color green was associated with royalty."
