Our reporter waited for more than two hours to get into today's Manolo Blahnik sample sale at the Warwick Hotel, just down the street from their boutique, and there were already 160 shoppers ahead of her at that time. And just ten minutes after the doors opened, staff announced they were already running low on certain styles and sizes.
When we made it in shortly after, our reporter said that sizes below 39.5 are basically out of luck. Unless you can fill a larger size, it's probably not worth it to stop by.
Leather, suede, satin, and printed fabric pumps are $100, embellished pumps (with glitter, lace, sequins, etc.) are $150, while those with large ornaments or buckles are $175.
Shoes made of snake, eel, pony, or stingray are $125—$175, while those made with lizard, python, and ostrich are $175—$250, and alligator sandals and pumps are $300 and $400, respectively.
As for boots, below-the-ankle styles are $200—$400, and ankle boots range from $250 to $450. Boots hitting mid-calf are $300—$500, to-the-knee styles are $350—$550, and above-the-knee boots are $400—$550.
When our reporter left not long ago, there were still another 50 or so shoppers waiting to get in. Staff said they'd keep calling in shoppers from the waiting room—we heard the sale was running until 4pm, but that's not confirmed—but they'd be waiting "at their own risk."
