One of our Beauty 38 members just gave us not one, but two good reasons to love them even more. Shen, known for carrying smaller beauty labels and emphasizing natural ingredients, is branching into the world of service—they're now offering facials and brow shaping in what was once "an under-used corner in the store," according to Well & Good.
Co-owner Jessica Richards saw a gap in the marketplace for time-crunched women who wanted to be pampered in their own borough. "Once I had my son, it suddenly became less feasible to get to Manhattan," she explained to the site. "Busy women [based in Brooklyn] don't really have time to do an hour-long or 90-minute facial on top of the time it takes going into the city."
A 30-minute facial is $65 and a 45-minute facial is $85, while brow shaping is $30, eyebrow tints are $28, and eyelash tints are $22. If you plan on heading out straight after your facial and aren't keen on that open-pore look, book the Glow and Go combo—a facial with a 15-minute makeup application for $120.
Up next? Pregnancy facials and organic body waxing, says Richards. Is it only a matter of time before they're a full-service studio?
