Rumors have been persistent about Apple signing a lease downtown at the World Trade Center, but the tech giant may have quietly been scouting an uptown location at the same time. WWD is reporting that they've been looking at 940 Madison Avenue on 74th Street, which is currently home to VBH.
The 1920s-era former bank building has three levels of retail totaling 9,000 square feet. However, as Apple told the paper: "We've made no announcement about a store in that location." So not technically a yes, but also not a no. We'll post an update if we hear anything further.
