As part of a major brand expansion, Philipp Plein is opening his second US store in Manhattan this September, according to WWD. Nestled between 58th and 59th Streets on Madison Avenue, its neighbors include Tumi, Bally, UGG Australia, and Porsche Designs.

"We already opened a showroom in New York and this was the next logical step," the designer explained to the paper, and went further about the location: "It's a very mature and educated market. I'm opening a store on Madison Avenue and not in SoHo or the Meatpacking District because we're a luxury brand. It's important for the first store to have the right address."

This outpost will carry apparel and accessories for men, women, and children. More stores are planned for San Francisco, Aspen, and Las Vegas before the brand heads for department store shops-in-shop.

Oh, and expect to find one of these Swarovski-bedazzled skulls, an accidental signature of the brand, greeting you at the entrance.
