Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Dolce Vita's time on Elizabeth Street is numbered. This afternoon, the brand sent around an email about an end of lease sale that's coming up on May 1st. The store will close up shop on Monday, May 26th, and beginning this Thursday, merchandise from Dolce Vita and DV by Dolce Vita will be discounted up to 70% off.

The Elizabeth Street store opened in 2012, and was a relocation of the original store on Ludlow Street. That shop closed at time when retailers were hurting on Ludlow; the closing of the Nolita store, however, comes at time when the street's retail scene is booming.

We've reached out to see if there are any plans to reopen elsewhere. Until then, this means there will soon be one less place to shop for shoes in New York City.
