Yumi Kim's biggest sale event is happening right now in the heart of Nolita, at 40 Prince Street, where you'll find discounts of up to 80% off on the label's signature pieces. The sale is a true feast for your eyes—the single room is filled with a plethora of dresses, rompers, tops, and skirts in every type of print and floral patterns you can imagine. There are samples, past season, and overstock pieces mixed together, and racks and boxes are filled to the brim.
Pricing is straight forward: tops and bottoms are $50; dresses, rompers and jumpsuits are $75; bottoms, including pants, skirts and shorts, are $50.
We spotted the Joanne top in poppy grey (retails for $132); the Goddes dress in cream (retails for $180); the Jayla skirt with hummingbird cream pattern (retails for $139); the Andrea dress with peonies print (retails for $248); a cute Marie dress in garden print (retails for $193); a few Lea and Liz rompers; the Giselle Maxi dress with peonies print (retails for $265); and the Jayne dress in green (retails for $198).
There's also a selection of beaded and sequined tops, skirts and dresses. Inspect these pieces for missing beads, but most were in a pretty good condition and came with extra beads/sequins attached.
Shoes are $45 and boots are $60. Here, we spotted quite a few comfy, foldable flats from Yasi Samra (lots of size 5 through 6) and suede flats (in red, black ,and white) with a silver cap toe from Dolce Vita. These, though, were getting picked up quite quickly.
At the front of the sale beside the footwear, there are about five boxes of accessories, which include a variety of belts, bags, and different types of jewelry. Prices start at $5 for belts and rings; $10 for bangles, bracelets, and necklaces; and $20 for bags (though we didn't spot any bags yesterday evening).
The sale's worth a trip if you're looking for something light, bright, and silky for summer. If you decide to drop by, give yourself ample of time to dig through the boxes and skim all the racks. The different styles, which were probably organized at the beginning of the day, were dispersed all over. Sizing range between extra-small to large and we saw plenty of every size.
There's a communal dressing room with mirrors where you can try on your picks. Both cash and credit cards are accepted and all sales are final. There will be daily restocking. The sale runs through Sunday, from 11am to 7pm daily at 40 Prince Street.—Hsini
