We stopped by the MiH Jeans sample sale yesterday afternoon, which is being held in their corporate office in Soho at 584 Broadway (suite 609). Apparently we had just missed a huge rush and were able shop the sale in relative calmness.

The prices are great and start at only $15 for corduroys and slightly damaged jeans (most are missing buttons or belt loops). All jeans are priced at $40—a great discount considering they normally retail between $198 and $260.

Jersey/tees and shorts $20; soft cotton shirts are $30; silks and sweaters are $40; blazers are $65; and all leather pieces (pants, skirts and jackets) are $175. A small selection of men's jeans ($40) and shirts ($20-$30) is available, but only two boxes to cater to guys.

As we browsed through the racks, we noticed many sample pieces in the mix, and most of the them were size small. Sweater in the mix include something similar to the oversized Bell Sweater, and there were also nice silk blouses and tops that would be great for warmer weather coming our way.

If you're a size 26 in MiH jeans, you will (literally) be in heaven. There was more than a hundred pairs of size 26s that filled up most of the racks. We spotted the Oslo, Marais, Monaco, Tokyo, Nouvelle, Vienna, London, Casablanca and Breathless in different styles and colors. To our dismay, we counted only about a dozen pair of size 24, 25, 27, 30 and 32 jeans available.

We also liked the buttery limited-edition leather jackets (for $175), but only a handful were left. (Just 150 were made, and each jacket is marked with the special edition number.) There were only a few pieces of leather pants (that normally retail for $950) and leather skirts (that retail for $332) around. See our photo gallery to see the pieces we mentioned and more.

The sale is extremely organized and the friendly staff is constantly offering their assistance, and a makeshift changing room is available in the corner of the room. No markdowns are planned at the moment, and only size 26 will be restocked. The sale runs through Friday, from 10am to 8pm today and from 10am to 7pm tomorrow at 584 Broadway between Prince and E. Houston Streets.—Hsini
