Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Summer brides can find the (discounted) dress of their dreams at Kleinfeld's latest one-day sample sale this coming Tuesday, but they should be ready to fake sick around lunchtime—the sale is only open from 3pm through 6pm, and no new shoppers will be let in after 5:30pm. And like previous sales, you'll have to grab a number in the morning.
Gowns from Dennis Basso, Mark Zunino, and more are starting at just $699, with discounts as high as 70% off. There will also be a selection of jewelry, accessories, and veils on sale.
And though the need for wedding dresses is rare, every woman could always use a great pair of shoes, and that's why we're thrilled that the boutique is also having its first sale dedicated to shoes and accessories coming up on Sunday, April 27, from 10am through 3pm. You'll get up to 20% off the likes of Badgley Mischka, Jimmy Choo, and Betsey Johnson, with both bridal and non-bridal (read: colorful and/or bling-y) styles available.
Jewelry and purses will also be available at this sale, though the site doesn't specify any designers in these categories. RSVP for the sale here to receive a free gift, and check out their website below for the full details on both sales.
