Otte Returns to Where It All Started: Bedford Avenue

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Womenswear boutique Otte first opened in 1999 back in Williamsburg, and this month, owner Kay Lee and team will return to the exact street where it all began for a summer pop-up shop. Otte Pop will open at 193 Bedford Avenue on April 23rd with "exclusively priced pieces" from the house label, plus best-selling brands like Carven, Vanessa Bruno, IRO, Sea, and more.

Since opening fifteen years ago, Otte has spread all over Manhattan. Currently, there are locations on the Third Avenue and another on Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side, one in the West Village, one in Tribeca, and another in Nolita.
