Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's been a little less than three months since we first spotted its signage on Grand Street, but MM6, the lesser-priced line from Maison Martin Margiela, has already opened its doors. At just 1,400 square feet, it's almost double the size of its Bleecker Street shop, and WWD reports that the new store has a "deliberately unfinished" look with gray walls covered in white metal grids and a mix of wooden and concrete flooring.
You can expect more stores to join its ranks as well. "Opening other stores in Manhattan is not out of the question," the company said.
