Planet Fitness Snags a Prime Spot on East 14th Street

Planet Fitness is ramping up its Manhattan count. affordable gym chain just signed a lease for 16,000 square feet—mostly underground—at 22 East 14th Street, inside a building for The New School, according to The Real Deal.

While most of the gym's locations are in the outer boroughs, they've recently been making push onto the island, with locations near the FIT campus, Midtown West, and a recently opened gym on Wall Street. There's no word yet on when this one is slated to open, but we're sure that many people in the area will consider switching gyms for a $10 monthly membership
