The Bar Method, a popular studio in Soho that opened back in 2010, is finally adding another location in the city to its growing nationwide presence. Fifth Avenue in the mid-50s and Pacific Street in Cobble HIll are next on the agenda, with plans to open the first in April, and the Brooklyn spot this summer.
Franchise owner Katie Muehlenkamp tells Well + Good NYC: "Brooklyn is a very different place now than when I grew up there. I'm excited to go back and see how it's changed and be a part of it again."
Speaking of changes, the neighborhood has seen several lately in the fitness category, including the arrival of Pure Barre a few months ago, and a forthcoming Brooklyn Bodyburn.
