How Urban Outfitters' Concept Store Will Support Local Designers

We're inching closer toward the expected early April arrival of Urban Outfitter's concept shop Space Ninety 8 in Williamsburg, and we're getting word of the local artisans that will be in stock at the main level's Market Space.

"I really believe in this project as a great platform and opportunity for these talented individuals to reach a larger audience and for our customers to discover new brands that they can't find elsewhere," UO's director of brand relations and special products Marissa Maximo said.

Including organic skincare line S.W. Basics, expect to find more than 40 brands based in and around the city, such as Vinegar Hill milliner Brookes Boswell, woolly hats from Lynn & Lawrence, jewelry from Jessica Barensfeld, ceramics from High Gloss, and custom surfboards from Salt Surf.

Many of the products found in the Market Space will be limited edition or one-of-a-kind, and it'll be adding more designers to the space later on.
