Welcome to Beauty Diary: Seven days of getting glam with an industry insider. From publicists to professional makeup artists, this is a week in the life of someone who lives and breathes beauty.

Few people in New York City know more about perfume than Mindy Yang, and even fewer can explain, in laymans terms, specifically what elements make the scent so appealing. As the vice president and curator of MiN New York, a niche fragrance store on Crosby Street, Mindy's day-to-day includes exploring (and even designing) high-end, exotic, and rare perfumes.

Mindy's background, however, goes even deeper than basenotes. She's well versed in everything from brand architecture to psychology, and is a licensed Reiki Master. After the jump, she takes us through a week in her life, with a specific scent to start each day.
