The Nanette Lepore archival sale is well into its second day, and there is still plenty to shop. It was on the quieter side this afternoon, making it quick and painless to try on and pay, but the floor is a bloody mess. The sales associates are really trying their best to keep things organized, however everything just keeps getting jumbled together.
Anyone with a bit of time on their hands should consider stopping by, since there are great pieces for spring and summer—just be prepared to dig.
Among the sea of samples we found a bright purple and coral knit dress, a cropped black and white checked sweater, and a striped jacket. We were also delighted to find some really bottoms, like a pair of white crochet pants, and white tiered maxi skirt. The leather wasn't anything special, but there was a single pair of croc embossed shorts that looked cute.
The vintage racks are fun, funky, and on the cheaper side. For $30 you can get yourself a worn out shearling or brown leather trench. Although the majority of the vintage items are worn and damaged in some sort of way, many of them just need a fix-up to look better than new.
The rack of slips is still quite full, and there are plenty of bathing suits left. There are no more boots, but still a fair selection of shoes, including a pair of floral sandals for $40. Belts, a couple of bags, and a small pile of scarves are also still hanging around.
