The midtown shopping district just south of Bloomingdale's that includes Zara and H&M is about to get some footwear action. The Real Deal reports that Orva Shoes has just signed a 13-year lease at 714 Lexington Avenue, the address that was formerly home to The Body Shop.

They'll be facing lots of competition with more well-known footwear retailers that already have retail locations in that area, including Steve Madden, Aldo, Aerosoles, and Geox. For its part, Orva Shoes has been in business since 1948.

In fact, they already have a location in the neighborhood at 782 Lexington, one of five city locations (there's two stores in Harlem, one on the Upper East Side, and another at Herald Square). The Real Deal mentioned neither whether this new location will be replacing the current one in the neighborhood, nor a potential opening date.
