Uniqlo's Collaboration With Inès de La Fressange Is Almost Here

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Uniqlo's collaboration with former French model and designer Inès de La Fressange will begin to arrive in stores next month, on March 17th. The line is broken up into four parts: Petite Parisienne; Blue, Blanc, Parisienne; Souffle de Parisienne; and Note Parisienne (pictured above).

The first embodies the "feel" of French work clothes; the second is a classic casual collection in red white and blue; the third is luxurious loungewear; and the fourth category is chic separates.

The collaboration will roll out through late May in the order mentioned above. For a behind-the-scenes look at what went into styling the lookbook and spring presentation, check out Uniqlo's three-and-a-half-minute movie. (Note that just about all of it is in French, with Japanese subtitles.)
