Last month, we reported that the Steve Madden Warehouse on the corner of Ludlow and Rivington Streets would be packing up, though they hadn't announced a closing date at that time. Now, Bowery Boogie has observed that the space was cleared out on Sunday night.
The home of $19.99 shoes had spent six years at that location, and a store employee previously told the blog that the landlord decided against renewing their lease. No word yet on what will take its place—but neighborhood residents are praying it's not another bar.
