Here's designer Rachel Comey on her upcoming Soho store—the brand's first in Manhattan: "I saw the for-rent sign on this one-story building I've always loved. After eight years of people asking when I would open a store, I was like, 'Now.' It was a rug shop for a decade—the Turkish wools looked beautiful against the industrial space, as I imagine my graphic textiles will. It still has a wooden garage door from when it was Barney's auto shop, which opened in 1947: I plan to get it working again for warm days." [NYM; Previously]
