After a successful first run in 2012, Sweaty Saturday is coming back next week. On February 22nd, fitness studios across the city will offer special classes, perks, and the occasional prize—plus generous donations to the Partnership for a Healthier America. Since some of these studios can be tough to book on a Saturday morning, many of them are offering additional classes just for the event. Several even have deals for non-members, like The Tracy Anderson Method and Pure Yoga.
Below is the list of studios all offering extra classes for Sweaty Saturday. To see the full list of participating studios, head here. We've just updated the list to include a handful of new studios; see them all below.
AKT in Motion: Special 9am happy hour in Soho, and a 2pm special class on the Upper East Side.
Bari Studio: Special 1pm BariHYBRID class (new members welcome).
Barry's Bootcamp, Tribeca: Special 5:45pm "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" TRX themed class.
Body by Simone: Special 9am Re-Deine class.
Brick New York: Two special classes: BIX with Ben Sweeney at 9:45am, and BIX with Erica Giovinazzo at 12:30pm. Classes are 60 minutes.
Exhale: 2:30pm Core Fusion Barre + Cardio at Exhale Meatpacking, 2:30pm Core Fusion Barre + Cardio at Exhale Central Park South.
Exceed Physical Culture: Special drop-in class for kids at 4pm (the adult Exceed Workout also begins at 4pm).
Flex Studios: Two special Flex90 classes, which include thirty minutes of TRX, Barre, and Pilates. Classes are 90 minutes long, and start at 1:30pm and 3pm.
Nalini Method: 10:30am special class; Midtown West.
Pedal NYC: 10:30am TRX Mashup with Erin, 11am 30/30 with Mr.Ray; Upper West Side.
Pure Yoga: 11:30am Figure 4 Fahrenheit at Pure Yoga East, 2pm Hot Power Yoga at Pure Yoga West.
re:AB Pilates: Two special Sweaty Saturday classes, both starting at 2pm: Beginner/Intermediate Reformer with Sarah Hester, and Beginner Toner with Roberta Musolino.
Real Pilates NYC: Special donation-based 8am Springtone Sweaty Saturday class with Alycea.
SLT: 3:30pm MENgaformer (a men's class) in Soho, 3:30pm Super Sweaty Saturday interval class in Midtown.
Swerve: Special 9am Sweaty Saturday class.
Throwback Fitness: Two charity classes at 10:30am and 11:30am.
The Tracy Anderson Method: Non-member classes: 3:30pm Sweaty Saturday Multitask, 4:30pm Sweaty Saturday Multitask Brand, 5:30pm Sweaty Saturday Men's Attain Definition; Tribeca.
Uptown Pilates: Two special classes, both at 2pm: a Tower class at the UES studio and a Pilates circuit class at the UWS studio.
((305)) Fitness: 9am special class. 50% of sales from the Make Sweat Sexy tanks will benefit Sweaty Saturday.
Bonus!: Real Pilates NYC: A special $40 and up donation class at 8am. One member will win a three-class pass prize; Tribeca.
Double Bonus! 9:30am classes at Flywheel Sports in Flatiron, Tribeca, UWS, and UES are all special Sweaty Saturday classes. Juice Theory, Vita Coco, and Panatea will all be around for pre- and post-workout treats.
Triple Bonus! Fitness store Sweaty Betty in Soho is offering five classes during the day: 9am Body Conceptions, 10am NU Fit, 11am KP Dancebody, 12pm KG Dance Body, and 4pm Fun Flow Yoga. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org. Space is limited, and it's one class per customer.
