Unsurprisingly, demand for five-hour time slots at Meow Parlour, NYC's first cat café, exceeded the Internet's capacity to even deal. Since reservations went live at noon, the booking tool continues (as of press time) to read: "Excessive traffic for this account. Please try again later."
Until whatever higher creature is in charge of making sure that the cat café's servers are functioning properly, it looks like the only way to have guaranteed baked-goods-and-cat-petting-time is to apply for a job there (which, let's be honest, everyone has already done anyway).
