Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The doors are open at COS. We repeat: The doors are open at COS. About ten minutes before they opened, a line of 25 had formed outside—some right in front in the store, others around the corner on Greene Street behind black ropes. And when noon came around, shoppers were greeted with goodies like juices at the entrance.
But to deal with the crowds, they're limiting the number of people inside right now—when we left shortly after the opening, 15 or so customers were waiting to be let in, one by one. Bring an extra scarf if you plan on stopping by soon, just in case.
