The moody, avant-garde merchandise at Dover Street Market is about to get a strangely cheerful addition for the holidays. WWD reports that the mini-chain's New York boutique will feature a Frozen-themed installation, as in, the animated Disney movie about pretty princesses and talking snowmen (while London's going all-out with a window display).
Why? It happened "organically," Adrian Joffe, CEO of Dover Street Market, told the paper. "Disney Japan approached us and we jumped at the chance."
Though there's no word of whether New York's installation will have actual incarnations of Elsa or Olaf, all three cities' storefronts will reportedly "spotlight pieces designed by [Rei] Kawakubo featuring images of characters from the film, including men's and women's shirts, pajamas, silk scarves and cushions."
