The Nicholas K sample sale kicked off quietly this morning, with discounts on overstock from the fall collection reaching 70% off. While some of the overstock prices were more like cyber Monday deals, with outerwear ranging from 30-45% off, there were two racks of samples with prices starting at just $25.

Our favorite pieces included a Mongolian fur-trim wool scarf for $125 and fur headbands for $75. Some other great deals: super soft plaid shirts for $99 and long sleeve jersey tees fit with thumb holes, perfect for layering under sweaters and priced right at just $60.

Speaking of sweaters, there was no shortage of wear-now pieces. For women, blanket sweaters and braided knit styles were going for $250. Among the outerwear pieces we found down coats for men and women, a few fleece-lined trench coats for men, and a rack of full-length double layer fleece-lined coat for women, all priced at $325.

Among the racks of menswear we found tailored wool cargo pants and comfortable wool sweatpants both going for $99. We also spotted utilitarian denim shirts for $99 and hooded cowl neck sweatshirts for $150.

There was one rack of vintage clothes priced at $50 located at the back of the sale. Be sure to look over the pieces as some were damaged and stained. The racks of samples included some spring merchandise and a few samples from the fall collection. Prices for overstock items and samples were different, so be sure to reference the prices posted on the wall.

This sample sale has a longer lifespan then most, running all the way through December 13th, so if you can't get there today, don't fret, there's plenty of stock. There are no fitting rooms, only a few mirrors placed along the walls throughout the sale. All overstock styles are on display, but they are restocking sizes throughout the sale so be sure to ask a salesperson if you don't see your size on the racks. More samples from the studio will be added throughout the course of the sale. There's a rumor that prices might be reduced on the last few days, but we can't confirm this yet.
