Soulcycle's Manhattan domination continues. The Commercial Observer reports that the cult cycling studio—which already has a dozen New York City studios open or in the works—is adding a lucky thirteenth location at 5 Bryant Park with nearly 3,400 square feet on the ground level.
The lease was reportedly signed two weeks ago, and while an opening date has not been set, other retailers at that address (Citibank, Coffeemania) are set to open in the second and third quarters of 2015.
The coming of the yellow bicycles signals a full-on health revolution in this office-centric area: Equinox and its lower-priced sister gym Blink Fitness both opened here this year, as did Organic Avenue. Plus, a Whole Foods that's expected to cater to the local demographic with lots of prepared food is also on its way.
