This week's edition of "Critical Shopper" takes Jon Caramanica to Smith Street's WP Lavori—a men's boutique that causes the New York Times reporter to toss around words like "man-children," "bland," and "cardboard-plain." But! WP Lavori does sort of redeem itself with an Engineered Garments trench that has "a whiff of the military-esque long coat Kanye West wore on the Yeezus tour last year." Caramanica ultimately leaves it behind because, "it needs to be rescued, given a good home, reminded that love is possible." [NYT; Previously]
