Whisper Editions—an e-commerce site that taps artists and designers to create limited-run products—is opening up a brick and mortar shop in South Street Seaport next week. Founded by former T Magazine photo director Judith Puckett-Rinella, the company's collaborations run the gamut from acrylic Edie Parker clutches (co-designed by Interview editorial director Fabien Baron) to $60 art prints and diamond-encrusted shark jaws.
And, rather than set such an eclectic mix against glossy white gallery walls, Puckett-Rinella spent months scouring lodges and cabins across the country for rustic, New-Deal-era Park Service furnishings. Stop by on Friday, December 12th to shop Whisper's latest editions underneath a giant antler chandelier.
