COS's website is currently full of Swedish-minimal wool outerwear and nubby cocoon sweaters, which the people of LA—where the H&M sister brand just opened its first-ever US outpost last Friday—will surely drape over their shoulders (cape-style, arms planted outside of sleeve-holes) as they chatter about the 75-degree weather. ("Feels like fall!")
Here's some consolation: WWD reports that COS, who has pushed back their Manhattan store opening several times, is still on track for a 2014 Spring Street debut. "Right now we're just concentrating on those two locations and getting to know this market," Marie Honda, COS' London-based managing director told the publication. "So far, the response has been positive." Fingers crossed that our prediction of a December 8th opening is right.
