We knew this day was coming: Expect "dismantling" to begin at Essex Street Market soon, which will eventually become a 26-story building with a movie theater on the first four floors and the market on the first and mezzanine levels. It's all part of Essex Crossing, the city's plan to develop the area at the base of the Williamsburg Bridge with an Andy Warhol Museum, parks, an urban farm, "micro-retail sites," and a whole lot of glass towers.
