It has been 205 days since we first heard about Alexander Wang x H&M, and now we have just three days until it hits stores on November 6th. This collaboration has already been highly regarded as one of the most anticipated from the Swedish retailer in years, with Rihanna debuting the sexiest look possible two months in advance and Missy Elliot bringing down the house at the VIP launch party in October (which some lucky shoppers were able to hit up, thanks to a vending machine).
To make sure you're ready for launch day, we've prepped this handy guide that contains everything you need to know—which stores to shop, what time to get there, which items will likely fly off the shelves first, and how quickly you can return if you experience buyer's remorse. Read on to start preparing your shopping strategy for surgery.
Where to Shop It
We released a list of all of the New York City stores that'll be carrying the collaboration last week, which includes a dozen Manhattan stores between the Upper East Side and Soho and three locations in the outer boroughs.
When to Go
As in past years, stores will open their doors at 8am. H&M will be applying their bracelet system again, where the first 420 shoppers in line at each store will be given a colored bracelet denoting what time they'll be able to shop. Groups of 30 will be given 15 minutes to shop in the designated collaboration area before they're ushered out for the next group to come in. After the first 420 shoppers waiting in line have come through, that area will be open to all customers.
What to Buy
In case you're not familiar with the Alexander X H&M aesthetic yet (lots of branding), here's the full breakdown, with prices included. Our sister site has picked out the top ten pieces from the 58-item collection that'll likely be popular, from the killer outerwear to the sports bra tops.
How Much You Can Buy—and When You Can Return It
There's a limit of two of each item per shopper, whether it's clothing, shoes, or accessories—and that includes online shoppers as well. If you get caught up in collab frenzy and snatch up way more than you'll ever end up wearing, you have seven days from your purchase date to return for a full refund (with your original receipt). After that seven-day period, items can be returned with or without a receipt for store credit at the value at which the item is currently selling. Not that accessories are not returnable at any time, due to "hygiene reasons."
