Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If sound quality trumps whether your headphones fit in your clutch, then Sennheiser was sent here for you. The German premium audio brand just landed at 11 Kenmare Street to bring New Yorkers a variety of their best-selling headphones (priced from $20 to $300), along with other products, that can be tested in the "sonic cocoon" of the store that's been designed to reduce outside noise.

Keep up with their Twitter account to learn about in-store events and special appearances by musicians, including one by Marques Toliver. The shop is open daily from 12pm to 8pm through December 28th.
