There's something extra fancy in the water over on upper Madison Avenue—four luxury stores, Italian leather brand Valextra, Scottish cashmere label Brora, and local jewelry makers LJ Cross just opened there. Plus, last week Roland Mouret joined the fray as well, citing the avenue's "village mentality."

WWD reports that LJ Cross, headed by interior designer Lisa Jackson, is now open inside the Mark Hotel at 994 Madison Avenue, selling accessories, clothing, home décor, and fine jewelry in the shape of Jackson's signature cross.

A bit further north at 1200 Madison Avenue, Brora has unleashed 40 styles of cashmere cardigans, scarves, and coats upon the increasingly chilly Upper East Side. And over at 833 Madison Avenue, the Post reports that 77-year-old Milanese leather label Valextra will open its first-ever U.S. store next week, selling its iconic bags and luggage once favored by Grace Kelly and Jackie O.
