Rather than loaf around with the highfalutin fashion crowd now that he's been inducted into the CFDA, Ernest Alexander Sabine is getting in touch with those who made him successful in the first place: his customers. Beginning November 20th, the menswear designer will host shoppers in his Flatiron studio by appointment, in what's being dubbed as the Ernest Alexander Design Studio.
"I want people to walk into my showroom store and get the full experience of the brand," Sabine said in a statement. "From seeing all we have to offer in accessories and ready-to-wear, customers will also get the opportunity to see where I work and where I get my inspirations."
Customers who book appointments on Tuesdays through Thursdays (or walk in between 11am and 6pm on Fridays) will find touches like a plush leather sofa, sailboat accents, and a vintage liquor table—and yes, a cocktail is included in your visit.
The brand is following designers Rebecca Minkoff and Lulu Frost, who have both opened up a portion of their showrooms as retail space this year.
