Since sneaker seller Kith launched apparel last year, its space within Atrium on Broadway has seemed a bit cramped. But this weekend, founder Ronnie Fieg will debut his brand's next chapter, taking an extra 3,000 square feet of space within the men's store on the corner of Broadway and Bleecker Street, WWD reports.
But lest you think Kith is trying to swallow up the existing store, Feig and store owner Sam Ben-Avraham insist that's not true. ""Atrium and Kith are not competitors in that our merchandise is quite different," Ben-Avraham told the paper. "In fact, having Kith next to Atrium completes the men's shopping experience. Kith focuses on street and athletic footwear, whereas Atrium is taking the direction of modern men's wear."
"They will totally be two different stores for two different customers," Feig added.
Look out for apparel brands like Off White, Isaora, Norse Projects, Nike Sportswear, Y-3, and Acronym to sit alongside the house line—along with a few other interesting items. "We'll have everything from pencils, kits, notebooks [and] pins, and the lip balm will even come in four flavors," Feig said.
Also on Saturday, Kith will be debuting a limited-edition collaboration sneaker with Adidas that commemorates September 11th. Of the release date, Feig explained, "It's a mourning period, and that's why we decided to drop it exactly one month after 9/11."
