Today is October 7th, meaning we are just ten days away from the New York City debut of & Other Stories on Broadway. And if that wasn't exciting enough, the H&M sister brand has tapped one of the coolest New Yorkers around for its latest online "style story"—Iris Apfel.
"I think it's an exciting moment for us in New York. A few of my friends who go to Europe say they had already discovered the store and it's a great find," the 93-year-old legend told Style.com about the brand. "It'll bring high fashion, better quality, good value...I like architectural, simple, well-designed clothes, and what I saw fit the bill."
Her top pick for this season? Some good outerwear. ""If a woman gets one thing this season, it better be a coat. There were a couple of stunning ones, some with skirts and scarves to match." Check out the full story (no pun intended) at the brand's website when it launches later today (and remember, stateside e-commerce debuts the same day as the store).
But first, more on Apfel, a lady who is seriously getting around these days: Check out this clip from Iris, a documentary film from Albert Maysles about the fashion icon that's debuting at the New York Film Festival this week.
