Sneakerboy—the Australian brand that frequently partners with heavy-hitters like Pierre Hardy, Lanvin, and Saint Laurent on limited-edition athletic shoes—is bringing its flashy footwear to 170 Mercer Street (although no official opening date has been announced yet). And, if its first U.S. outpost is anything like its two Aussie shops, it won't carry any actual stock—only floor models for customers to gaze upon. The Shophound reports that Sneakerboy employees check shoppers out via iPad apps, and them ship them their purchases from Australia. Which gives them a lot of time to really mull those $550 Margiela paint splatter tennis shoes over.
