As always, the James Perse sample sale, which kicked off at 10am this morning, is stocked with super-soft basics for men and women at up to 75% off. Prices start at just $15 for tanks and top out at $150 for down jackets and sweaters.

At last night's friends and family preview, the hot spot seemed to be the corner filled with cashmere pieces, with large scarves, basic sweaters and cable knit styles for men and women priced at $100.

Women were scooping up $150 down coats and vests from James Perse's activewear offshoot Yosemite, as well as the label's lightweight fleece jackets, yoga pants ($60), shorts ($40), and tanks ($15). Short-sleeved tees from Perse's main line ($30) also proved popular, although, while V-necks were plentiful, we had to dig for crew neck styles.

If you're looking for something a bit more formal, there's a huge selection of knit dresses—from basic sweatshirt styles to draped and fitted designs—all for $65.

The floor is split pretty much fifty-fifty between men and women. Most men's crew neck tees were only available in sizes one (small) and two (medium), while V-neck sizes were more plentiful.

We were surprised to see so many shorts at the sale, but cargo and activewear styles were just $40. Cozy sweatpants were marked down to $60 and, as in the women's section, down jackets and vest went for $150.

As always with 260 Sample Sale, shoppers must check their bags and coats at the door, which creates a bit of a line outside the sale. (But don't get discouraged—it moves quickly.) There are small communal fitting rooms separated by gender, and the venue provides bags to hold your goodies. Check out the Dealfeed below for more info.
