Haven't booked your $50 Spa Week appointment yet? Even though it just kicked off today, there are still plenty of services available from some of the city's best spas and salons, where tired New Yorkers can attempt to reverse the effects of everything from lingering summer sunburns to pedicure-ruining fall boots.
While some of the bigger-name spas (Kiehl's, Red Door, Clarins, Skin Station, SKN) require you to actually pick up the phone to book your appointment (what?!), others allow you to choose from the online menu—most spas are offering two or three of their signature services—and select the date and time you'd like to arrive. However, there's no guarantee that you'll be able to book that exact time, as it's only a request form.
Some notable offerings? Infinity Float Spa is offering hour-long de-stress float sessions in their pool, while Magnolia Organic Spa has a chocolate Swedish massage. Sadick Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery offers a medical cleanse facial that's customizable for your skin type, as well as a glycolic peel and microdermabrasion. And to combat those summer sunburns that still haven't faded, Skin Bar Med Spa has a photofacial for sun-damaged neck, hands and chest.
As for the bigger names, Kiehl's Spa 1851 has an extraction facial, while Red Door has a "youth-restoring" pedicure. If you'd rather have your Swedish massage with a side of lavender rather than chocolate, Skin Spa's multitude of locations is offering an aromatherapeutic version, while SKN Spa has a chamomile iteration. The most luxurious treatment, however, might just be Skin Station's signature facial, which comes with 24-karat gold-infused serum and mask. To peruse all the local offerings, see the full menu here.
