September came and went without the annual Hermès sample sale, and most feared that the expensive event had been unceremoniously cancelled. However, all is not lost—Mizhattan reports that the French heritage brand is indeed returning to Soiffer Haskin this year on Thursday, October 23rd.
The sale hosts have yet to list details of the event on its site, but it'd probably be safe to expect discounts of about 50% off retail prices on women's and men's apparel, shoes, and accessories (Mizhattan reports that scarves will be in the mix this time).
However, "discounts" is a relative term here—last year, we found shoes from $305 for ballerina flats to $2,335 for the most expensive knee-high boots, women's tops with four-digit price tags, and leather outerwear for upwards of $5,000. Be on the lookout for a sale report from us on opening day.
