Cat, short for Caterpillar Construction, is opening a footwear pop-up shop inside the Roger Smith Hotel in midtown, WWD reports (yes, really). The weeklong stint will open on October 21st, and is the label's first store—temporary or permanent—in the United States.
You would be forgiven for not knowing that the company whose logo you've probably only ever seen on massive excavators and backhoes also makes neon pink boots—though granted, the majority of Cat Footwear's merchandise looks like something the construction workers themselves might wear.
But for the NYC pop-up, expect three jazzier, limited-edition styles from the U.K. like the boot pictured above, as well as special events throughout the week.
And in honor of the brand's 25-year-old Colorado boot, local artists will present their renditions of the shoe on October 14th before the footwear is available, and on October 21st, style bloggers Sazan Barzani and Adam Gallagher will shill style advice to shoppers.
