Jerry Delakas, who operated a newsstand on Astor Place that was recently shuttered by the city, brought a miniature cardboard version of it to Gracie Mansion as a gift for Mayor Bill de Blasio. Jerry and a friend made it in and met the mayor, who said his situation was "a great injustice" and that his assistant would "get on it immediately." All in all, sounds like a nice day. [JVNY]
