French brand The Kooples is on its way to opening a store on the East Coast. Post reporter Lois Weiss writes that that line, founded by three brothers, is heading to the Meatpacking District. The address: right near the Apple store at 401 West 14th Street. Currently, that space belongs to Moschino, but the Kooples will be subletting it from the fashion house through September 2018.
She writes: "Moschino, which is retrenching to concentrate on other lines and stores, is being represented in the sublease by James Downey and Sarah Fabian at Cushman & Wakefield, who declined to comment." The Kooples have already picked two locations for its stateside expansion on the West Coast: one in Beverly Hills, and the other in San Francisco.
