Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Flatiron boutique fitness studio ChaiseFitness is expanding with a second location uptown at the 92nd Street Y. Founded by a mother and daughter (aww), classes involve chair-based workouts and overhead bungees to strengthen and tone, and fuse together techniques like Pilates and ballet. (Here's the breakdown of the four signature classes.)
To kick things off right, they're hosting a special party on Saturday. Stop by from noon to 2pm to partake in "guilt-free" sweets and snacks, freebies, a special Baublebar pop-up, and BluePrint juices. Athleta will also be on hand for giveaways. If you're wooed into signing up for a membership, note that new clients can snag three classes for just $33.
