Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Just when we thought drones were the next big thing in online shopping, along comes a New Yorker's dream: Parcel. The delivery service will intercept any packages scheduled to come to your apartment on a given day, text you when it's arrived, and let you pick a one-hour time slot between 7pm and 11pm for them to stop by once you're back from the office. Deliveries are free now until January 15, and $5 per package after—but be sure to check out size and weight specifications before you start ordering. [Refinery29]
