After debuting in Madison, Wisconsin and expanding to a studio in Austin, Texas, Cyc has finally hit New York City. The indoor cycling program opted to go with a shop-in-shop concept by setting up within Astor Place's DavidBartonGym. One huge draw to opening within an existing fitness space? Keeping prices competitively low.
A single ride at Cyc goes for $25 (a series of ten knocks the price tag down to $22.50), quite a deal less than the standard $30 to $35 at the city's other cycling studios. Included in the price of a ride at Cyc is access to the gym for the day, including use of all equipment and amenities (hello, steam room). To top it off, Cyc's charitable component, Ride for Change, donates a portion of proceeds to one of their charitable partners for every mile achieved in class.
