While floating (high-heel pinched walking) between the first batch of fashion week parties last night, we noticed that Bergdorf Goodman is covering a billboard above the gas station on Houston and Lafayette. More specifically, it's a billboard for their men's store. The oversized ad looming over Soho is a surprising move for BG, and it's interesting that they're touting their men's store—maybe they're feeling the heat as both Saks and Barneys step up their menswear offerings?
The larger words read "A Goodman finishes first" and the smaller text between reads "Brandon Johnson, magazine editor, in Dolce & Gabbana." All together, that's "A Brandon Jonson Goodman magazine editor finishes in Dolce & Gabbana First." Meanwhile, Old Navy has taken down their over-the-top billboard on the neighboring corner.
