Jay Z has been confirmed as the guest collaborator for Barneys holiday efforts this year, following 2011's Lady Gaga "workshop" and 2012's Electric Holiday campaign with Walt Disney. This year's theme is A New York Holiday, drawing inspiration from the "the slickness, energy, and innovation of New York City," Jay told WWD.

The partnership encompasses product, packaging, window design, and in-store installation, and will launch November 20th. The Madison Avenue flagship will play center stage to the promotion with not only dedicated windows, but a 1,500 square foot "gallery" installation on the store's third floor. The shop-in-shop will be called BNY SCC Gallery, shorthand for Barneys New York, Shawn Corey Carter, and the celebrity's newfound art interest. Video works will be projected 360 degrees inside of the enclosed shop.

Much of the product is male-focused—including Proenza Schouler's first bag for men—but ladies will surely snap up gender-neutral products like scarves and delight in the home items, which include a cashmere blanket. All of the limited-edition product was done within the confines of white, black, silver, and gold to reflect the city's skyline by night. Twenty-five percent of all sales will benefit the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

Jay Z collaborated with "top designers and influential indie brands" on the goods. A few examples of what's on offer: a black leather Balenciaga backpack, a Rick Owens hoodie, a tailored jacket by Lanvin, a gold double ring from Hoorsenbuhs, and a cashmere ski mask by The Elder Statesman. The price range starts at $70 for a t-shirt and climbs as high as $33,900 for the Shawn Carter by Hublot watch, sporting black alligator straps (a black ceramic version is available for $17,900). An online presale will take place prior to the November 20th launch for some goods, and the range will be available through January 3rd.
