Clutches, Crossbodys, and More at the Botkier Sample Sale

The Botkier sample sale starts today at 225 Fifth Avenue, and this morning's scene was semi-calm—despite some women grabbing ten to fifteen bags at a time. There's a ton of merchandise to shop, including handbags, totes, and clutches in a wide variety of colors: black, taupe, gray, brown and burgundy were all there, along with a good selection of silver, white, red, and blue.

Many of the sample bags at the sale are still being sold at full price online, so if you've been eyeing something on Botkier's website, you might find it here for 70% off. The Legacy satchel ($595 online) is $275, the Honore satchel ($545 online) is $225, the Key crossbody ($345 online) is $150 and the Wanderlust tote ($295 online) is $125. Overall, the samples and damaged bags section is definitely getting hit the hardest. We saw bags go as low as $15 and up to $150. Some damages were as minor as negligible scuffs or hardware damage. We spotted a Rock Deco satchel with some orange gum-like goo going for $75 (originally $495). If you think you have a good way to get that sucker out, you found yourself a deal.

Leftovers from past seasons are at lower prices, such as the Valentina hipster, which is on sale online for $117 but only $50 at the sample sale. And Honore tote, on sale for $207 online, is $100.—Hsini
